As part of my degree I elected to do an industrial placement year at the RAF's Institute of Aviation Medicine.
My role involved visiting numerous MOD sites, measuring noise and vibration exposure levels of personal, analysing the data, producing reports and recommendations on exposure limits to conform with British Health and Safety Standards.
I was also responsible for the procurement of new equipment, and the redesign, role out and usability of the departments new data storage system.

I returned to the RAF after graduating as an acoustic consultant, this involved extensive project management and team supervision. Planing and conducting specialist noise and vibration measurements at various MOD sites. These included Environmental Noise, Impulse Noise, Occupational Noise, Hand Arm Vibration and Whole Body Vibration. Producing detailed reports based on British Health and Safety Standards and managing multiple, fast paced project with ever shifting deadlines and priorities.

I was asked to return to my JLR due to my unique and in-depth knowledge of the whole vehicle HMI in order to finish the delivery of the features I had previously been working on, winning a Technical Excellence Award for New Era Collaboration and releasing 3 features receiving 0 customer complaints in the first 24 months, these were:

I was also tasked with the design and development of the UX/UI for the Gen 3 HUD. This involved using augmented reality to deliver a number of useful user experiences. After testing and assessing the proposed hardware to deliver the AR HUD I, discovered that it was not fit for purpose and saved the company £96 million in development.
I worked on a number of other features including, Clusters, 4x4i, InControl, PIVI, Low Traction Launch, Wade Mode, Clear Site Mirror and ADAS.
